to the Son of David!
--- Matthew 21:9
New Revelation on the Inferno of Notre Dame:
Would God Allow Such a Catastrophe
Real and Spiritual Causes of the Fire of Notre Dame &
Son of Man
After the fire of the Notre Dame Cathedral, many people may wonder that if God is real, how could God allow such a magnificent Cathedral to be burned in fire. This is a hard question to answer. Maybe history can provide some insight into this spiritual question.
In the past, God did allow such a great building with significant spiritual meaning to the people of God to fall into enemies’ hand and be destroyed. Twenty-six hundred years ago, in 586 BC, the splendid Temple of Solomon was destroyed by the Babylonian armies who eventually destroyed the whole city of Jerusalem. In 70 AD, the Second Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed by the Roman armies. In 1453 AD, the Constantinople fell into the hand of the Ottoman armies and the great Hagia Sophia Cathedral was turned into an Ottoman imperial mosque. All the Christian art, symbols and statues were destroyed and removed from the Hagia Sophia Cathedral. Besides the historical reasons most people already knew, there were some spiritual reasons behind all these disasters happened to the landmark temple and cathedral with religious and spiritual significance.
Now, the famed 800-year Notre Dame Cathedral was severely damaged by the fire on April 15, 2019. Whether it was caused by accident or by deliberate arson, there is a significant spiritual meaning and prophetic meaning for such a catastrophe. Here are the four aspects on the spiritual significance of the Notre Dame Cathedral in the French History and the prophetic meaning of the Inferno of Notre Dame for the future of France.
I. The Spiritual Impact of the Notre Dame Cathedral in the French History
The Notre Dame Cathedral was initially constructed in 1160 and completed by 1260. The most spiritual event happened in 1638 on the birth of the Sun King of France - Louis XIV.
1. The Sun King of France - Louis XIV
Before Louis XIV was born, French King Louis XIII and his Queen Anne had been married for 23 years with no heir. Anne had experienced four stillbirth between 1619 and 1631. The whole France was worrying about the Christian Kingdom without an heir. On 10 February 1638, when Anne was pregnant again, King Louis XIII went to Notre Dame Cathedral and consecrated him and his family and the whole Kingdom of France to the Blessed Virgin Mary as the “Protectress of France”. Seven months later, on September 5, 1638, Louis XIV was born as a healthy baby boy. They christened the boy Louis-Dieudonné, meaning “Gift of God”, as most people considered his birth was a miracle.
Just like Isaiah was dedicated to the Lord by his mother and was blessed to become the great prophet of Israel in the Old Testament, Louis XIV was dedicated to Virgin Mary and also be blessed to become the greatest king in French history known as Louis the Great or the Sun King of France. After Louis XIII died in May 1643, Louis XIV became the King of France and reigned France, initially with the help of his mother Anne and other ministers, till his death on September 1, 1715. His reign of 72 years and 110 days is the longest recorded of any monarch of a sovereign country in European history.
Louis XIV was a pious and devout king who made his devotions daily regardless of where he was, following the liturgical calendar regularly. Due to his strong faith in God, God blessed him with great success in his long reign of France. During Louis XIV’s period of long reign, France was the leading political and military power in Europe. He also extended the territory of France to the New American Continent, which the whole colony was named after his name, Louisiana, to honor this Sun King of France.
Due to this special spiritual connection between Virgin Mary and King Louis XIII and Louis XIV, both statues of Louis XIII and Louis VIX were placed by the side of Virgin Mary and Jesus Christ at the center of Notre Dame Cathedral.
However, due to his devotion to Virgin Mary and the Catholic Church, Louis XIV made a big mistake by driving out Protestant minority in France, the Huguenots, and caused France missed the opportunity of Reformation, which eventually led to the French Revolution that destroyed the Catholic Churches in France one hundred years later.
2. The First Fire Damage of the Notre Dame Cathedral during the French Revolution
In French history, the French Revolution was hailed as a revolution for “Liberty, Equality and Fraternity”. But from the biblical view point, the French Revolution was the rebellion against God inspired by the Antichrist - the “Fallen Star” Lucifer, which was prophesied in Chapter 9 of the Book of Revelation. The prophecy of the king named “Apollyon” in Revelation 9:11 was fulfilled by the French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte. That’s why the French Revolution specifically targeted the Catholic Church as 98% of French people were Catholic at that time.
In the 1790s, those revolutionists wanted to de-Christianize the country and Notre Dame Cathedral suffered severe desecration during the French Revolution, and much of its religious imagery was damaged or destroyed. The goal of those revolutionists was to completely de-Christianize France turned France into a Godless nation. As the French Monarch was titled as the “Christian King of France”, they sent the last King Louis XVI to Guillotine to end a thousand years Christian monarch in France.
When people lost their faith in God and Christ, God also took away His blessing and protection on this nation. That’s why the famed Notre Dame Cathedral was destroyed for the first time during the French Revolution. But God did not spare those who desecrated and destroyed the Holy Place. In consequence, most of these mobs and revolution soldiers who participated in this blasphemous crime eventually died in the following Napoleonic Wars against the neighboring countries, especially in the war invading Russia that caused over 500,000 casualties.
II. The Historical Lessons on the Fall of the Major Cities in the World
1. The Fall of Jerusalem and the End of the Kingdom of Judah
In the Old Testament of the Bible, there is a great example of how God blessed Israel for the faith of King David and also how God took His blessing away when David's son King Solomon went astray from the Word of God. With the blessing of God, King Solomon became the most intelligent and wealthiest king on the earth and he built the magnificent Temple of God, known as Solomon’s Temple. But after Solomon and his descendants went astray from the Word of God, eventually, God took away His blessing and protection from Jerusalem and let Babylonians come to destroy the city of Jerusalem and the magnificent Solomon’s Temple in 586 BC. The cause of the destruction of the First Solomon’s Temple was people of Israel and Judah turning their back to God to worship other idols and went astray from the Word of God.
After Jews were captured as slaves in Babylon for about fifty years, the Persian King Cyrus the Great defeated and conquered the Babylonian Empire and set those Jews free to go back to Jerusalem in 538 BC. Those Jews came back to their homeland and rebuilt the city of Jerusalem and built the Second Temple in Jerusalem. Ever since then, they never lost their faith in the Lord.
However, due to their rigid interpretation of the scripture, when Jesus came in the first century, they did not recognize Him as the prophesied Messiah due to their misinterpretation of the prophecy and misconception on how the Messiah should come. They not only rejected their Messiah, Jesus Christ, but also demanded the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
Therefore, they lost the blessing of God again and had been expelled from their homeland for almost two thousand years after a failed revolt against the Roman Empire. The City of Jerusalem and the Second Temple were destroyed again. Although the revolt was the direct cause of the destruction of Jerusalem and the Second Temple, the real spiritual cause was their rejection of Jesus Christ, the Messiah God sent to them, even though He came differently than they expected.
2. The Fall of Rome and the End of the Roman Empire
In the fourth century, the Roman Empire faced the labor and military shortage after a couple centuries of expansion. At the same time, the invasion of Huns drove many Germanic Goths to the borders of the Roman Empire. The Roman empire accepted these refugees but did not treat them equally so they did not assimilate into the mainstream Roman society. In the later part of the fourth century, these Goths revolted and defeated the Roman armies and killed the Eastern Emperor of the Roman Empire during the Battle of Adrianople in 378 AD. In 410 AD, the Goth King Alaric moved west and sacked the city of Rome.
Several decades later, another Germanic tribe, the Vandals, raided the city of Rome again in 455 AD. And finally, in 476, the Goths led another revolt and deposed the Emperor of the Western Roman Empire and the once mighty Roman Empire was ended.
The main cause of the Fall of Rome and the end of the Roman Empire was the large migrants of Goths coming to the empire without shared value, the willingness to assimilate and the loyalty to the new hosting country. Once they grew in number and gained the power, especially after they became the part of the military forces of the Roman Empire with their own legions, they turned against the Roman Empire and eventually became the enemy and the terminator from within to end the Western Roman Empire.
3. The Fall of Constantinople and the End of the Byzantine Empire
After Roman Emperor Constantine the Great liberated Christians from the persecution of the Roman Empire and became the patron of Christianity in the fourth century, Constantine built a new city, Constantinople, as the new capital of the Roman Empire. From the mid-5th century to the early 13th century, Constantinople was the largest and wealthiest city in Europe. The city was also famed for its architectural masterpieces, such as the Hagia Sophia Cathedral, and the vast imperial library, which was instrumental in the advancement of Christianity during the Roman and Byzantine times.
However, due to the schism between the Roman Catholic Church and the Greek Orthodox Church, Constantinople was sacked by the armies of the Fourth Crusade, which severely weakened the Byzantine Empire. After the rising of Ottoman Empire, the Byzantine Empire began to lose its territories and the city began to lose population. By the early 15th century, the Byzantine Empire was reduced to just Constantinople and its environs, along with Morea in Greece, making it an enclave inside the Ottoman Empire. Eventually, on May 29, 1453, Constantinople fell under the siege of the Ottoman Empire and became the new capital of the Ottoman Empire. The magnificent Hagia Sophia Cathedral was turned into an Islamic Mosque and all the Christian art and statues were destroyed and removed from the Cathedral.
The spiritual cause of the fall of Constantinople and the Hagia Sophia Cathedral was the schism of the church and the continuous encroachment of the Ottoman Empire. Due to the schism and hostility between the Roman Catholic Church and the Greek Orthodox Church, the Roman Catholic Church did not send an army to support the Byzantine Empire when it was under the 53-day siege of the Ottoman Empire. After the city of Constantinople fell into the hands of Turks, the former capital of the Christian Empire was renamed as Istanbul and the Hagia Sophia Cathedral was turned into an Islamic Mosque.
III. The Spiritual and Real Cause of the Inferno of Notre Dame Cathedral
1. The Spiritual Cause of the Fall of France
Now, France has all these causes that led to the fall of Jerusalem, Rome and Constantinople. Since the French Revolution, Christianity in France has been greatly damaged and French people also lost their faith in Christ, so did them loss the blessing of God. After the French Revolution, France lost almost all the wars with its neighboring countries, especially Prussia/Germany, from the Napoleonic wars to the Franco-Prussian War, and then World War I and II. The once mighty power in Europe and glorious Christian Kingdom under the Sun King Louis XIV was lost forever.
With the popularity of secularism in France, not many people read the Bible and go to church anymore, and many magnificent churches and cathedrals became empty places just for tourists or holiday ceremonies. With large number of Muslim immigrants from Africa and the Middle East, the religious conflicts began to flare up.
In the year of 2018 alone, over 1000 Catholic churches were targeted with arson attacks, vandalism, desecration and destruction, average over 2 churches were attacked every single day. On March 17, 2019, the second largest Catholic Church in Paris, the Saint Sulpice Church where the Da Vinci Code movie was filmed, was set on fire just after the Midday Mass on Sunday, and it was deemed as an arson attack.
After all these attacks against Catholic Churches in the last twelve months, how could the French government and media dare not to stand up and condemn the terrorists and religious extremists behind all these attacks? Everyone knows that the Notre Dame Cathedral is the top jewelry of the crown, how could the French government did not put extra security to protect it after the arson of Saint Sulpice Church on March 17? The most bizarre thing is that the French government rushed to the conclusion shortly after the fire that the cause of fire was an accident not arson while the fire was still blazing on the roof of the Cathedral. How could they ignore the fact that average of two Catholic churches were attacked every day in France and the Saint Sulpice Cathedral was just set on fire a month ago and yet they still considered the possibility of arson as the theory of conspiracy?
2. The Real Cause of the Fire of Notre Dame Cathedral
According to the famed French Architect Benjamin Mouton, the former chief architect and general inspector of French historical monuments who even worked on the Notre Dame Cathedral himself, the interior of the building was mostly constructed with old oak, which is very difficult to burn without a lot of kindling. Is there a possibility of arson as the cause of the fire of Notre Dame Cathedral? Let's do a rational and logical analysis before we deem it as a theory of conspiracy.
1) The Exclusion of the Electronic Circuit Short as the Cause of Fire
A day after the fire was put down, the Paris Police Department came out to announce the possible cause of the fire was electronic circuit short. That's basically impossible.
On April 16, the former Chief Architect of Notre Dame Cathedral Benjamin Mouton gave an interview on the cause of the fire of the Notre Dame Cathedral.
Here are the summaries of his professional opinions:
From his professional opinion, there is impossible for the fire caused by short circuit because they were all renewed within 10 years and those 800 years old oaks are very hard to burn without a lot of kindling. There was also no work site at the location where the fire broke out and there was no worker at the Cathedral at 6:00 PM. If there was a short circuit short, the people inside the Cathedral should feel at least some partial blackout inside the Cathedral, but nobody saw such kind of the blackout.
Therefore, the electronic circuit short shall be ruled out as the cause of the fire of Notre Dame Cathedral.
2) The Two Fire Alarms of the Notre Dame Cathedral
At 6:20 pm, the first fire alarm sounded but no one saw any fire. So they thought this could be a false alarm. Then the second alarm sounded at 6:43 pm, and people began to saw the fire on the roof of the Cathedral. Why no one saw the fire after the first fire alarm sounded?
The answer is very simple. The fire was set from the outside of the roof of the Cathedral. That's why the fire sensor at the roof felt the heat and gave out the first alarm but no one inside the Cathedral could see the fire after the first alarm. Only after the fire burned through the roof could people inside the Cathedral see the fire after the second alarm.
During the remodeling period, there were many scaffolding at the top of the Cathedral. People could easily climb up the scaffolding and reach the roof of the Cathedral, just like the game of Assassin's Creed depicted in its video game. Because there were 23 minutes between the first fire alarm and the second alarm, the arsonist could easily set up the fire at the roof and get off the scaffolding before the second fire alarm sounded. That's why no one saw any suspect coming down from the roof inside the Cathedral. I guess that's the reason that the Police Department of Paris made the conclusion that the fire was caused by an accident not arson. That's the easiest conclusion to make as all the evidences were burned down to the ground. How convenient!
3) The Surveillance Video from the Outside of the Cathedral
Although most evidences on the roof were burned down to the ground and there was no surveillance video from the inside of the Cathedral could be used as evidence, luckily, there was an outside surveillance video from a neighbor of the Cathedral that accidentally caught the scene of some one set up the fire on the roof of the Notre Dame Cathedral at that time.
With all these analysis and evidences, it is clearly that the fire of Notre Dame Cathedral was an arson, not an accident. Unfortunately, those French government officials and mainstream media dare not to make such a suggestion because they were afraid of being politically incorrect. A couple US cable news hosts even abruptly shut down the guests from France and from the Catholic Church who suggested the possibility of arson as the cause of fire. How arrogant and foolish are these people who turn blind on all these facts! I guess even if Sherlock Holmes were alive today, he would be called the largest Conspiracy Theorist and shut down by those political correct people.
4) Who is behind the Arson of Notre Dame Cathedral?
From 2018 to 2019, over 1000 Catholic Churches were targeted with arson attacks, vandalism, desecration and destruction, average over 2 churches were attacked every single day. Besides some accidental fire damages, most of them were the orchestrated attacks on Christianity by those radical Islamic extremists.
After the Mosque Massacre in Christchurch, New Zealand on March 15, 2019, ISIS openly called for killing more Christians and destroying more Christian churches for retaliation. Two days later, one of the largest Catholic church in Paris, Saint Sulpice Church, was set on fire right after the Midday Mass on March 17. In the next week, twelve Catholic churches were vandalized and desecrated. Just three days before the Notre Dame fire, a woman from a group of radical Islamic extremists who plotted a car bombing near Notre Dame Cathedral in 2016 was sentenced on April 12. That could increase the resentment of these Islamic extremists against France and against Christianity. These things clearly demonstrate some radical Islamic extremists’ hostility toward Christianity and the heritage of their new host country.
Today, on the Day of Easter, some Islamic extremists set up a series of bombing in multiple churches and hotels in Sri Lanka and killed over 300 Christians and injured over 600 Christians during the Easter services. These Islamic extremists had no mercy on innocent people's lives and had no respect for other culture and religions, and they have no shame to claim the responsibility on these atrocities against humanity. They even post some joyful or celebration photos after the fire of Notre Dame Cathedral. So why would some media and government dare not to face the reality and call evil as evil deserves?
We should not categorize Muslims in general as the suspects of terrorist attacks, but we should definitely not ignore the fact that the radical Islamic extremists have caused numerous terrorist attacks for the last couple decades. We just need to separate the peace-love Muslims from those radical Islamic extremists.
Out of 2 billion Muslims in the world, most Muslims are peace-loving people who just want to have a good life. But in recent years, many young Muslims were brain-washed with the radical doctrines of the medieval age to "kill disbelievers wherever you find them" and "capture non-Muslim women as sex slaves". That's the reason behind all those atrocities of mass execution and mass raping happened in the Islamic States of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) when they took control of the large territory in Syria and Iraq. If the mainstream media and the governments of the world don't stand up to denounce and stop these kind of medieval doctrines, it will cause more disasters for the modern civilization.
Virgin Mary is weeping in heaven on all these attacks on the Catholic Church and the inability of French government to protect their own heritage and spiritual root. If French people don’t have the courage to stand up against the religious extremists and protect their own heritage, they don’t deserve the spiritual and architectural masterpiece of Notre Dame Cathedral. Even if French people rebuild it with all the donations they receive, it will soon be converted to the Islamic Mosque like the Hagia Sophia Cathedral in Constantinople, or Istanbul, once Muslims become the majority in France.
The Fire of the Notre Dame is not the “retribution and punishment” of God as those ISIS fanatics claimed, but it is definitely the prophetic warning on the Fall of France. If French people don’t revive their faith in Christ, France will lose its identity and Paris will be the next Constantinople, or Paristanbul.
IV. The Prophetic Meaning for the Future of France/Europe
1. The Future of France/Europe
Currently, the Muslim families have a higher fertility rate than traditional French family. 60% of the new born babies in France have African/Middle East origins, which most of them are coming from Muslim families. Within fifty years, the majority of the population of France under age 50 will be Muslims. That will be the major change for France.
If French government doesn't stop the spread of radical Islamic extremism in France, many young Muslims will be brain-washed by the medieval doctrines of “Killing disbelievers wherever you overtake them” (Quran 2:191). Once they grow into majority in France, all French people will either be forced to submit to Islam or be slaughtered under the Sword of Islam within fifty years. That will lead to the bloody religious war and the split of France or even Europe.
2. The Solution to Avoid the Religious War
French people have turned their back to God for quite some time since the French Revolution. But due to their historical spiritual connection to the Virgin Mary, God will give them a second chance before they will lose the salvation of Christ forever.
1) Revive the Faith in Jesus Christ
The Salvation of Jesus Christ is the greatest gift from the Heavenly Father as all your sins could be redeemed by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. That’s why after the Catholic Church fell into the corruption during the Dark Age, God inspired Martin Luther to start the Protestant Reformation to put more emphasis on the Salvation by Faith. The Protestant Reformation was prophesied in Revelation 7 and the “Seal” put on the forehead of the faithful Christians was “Sola Gratia, Sola Fide”. Those countries who participated in the Reformation, like Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States, have experienced great success in both technological and economic development after the Reformation.
Due to Louis VIX’s devotion to the Catholic Church and driving Protestants out of France, France missed the opportunity of the Reformation. That’s why French people gradually lost their faith in Christ which eventually led to the French Revolution inspired by Antichrist and caused great destruction of Christian faith among French people.
Nowadays, even though some French people still claim their faith in Christianity, they rarely go to church or read the scripture of the Bible. That’s why they lost the blessing of God and lost their ground to Muslim immigrants. If they don’t revive their faith in Christ, France will eventually be taken over by Muslims Just as Israel was taken over by Babylonians during the Fall of Jerusalem and the Byzantine Empire was taken over by the Ottoman Empire.
To revive the faith in Christianity and save France from elimination, the Catholic Church needs to work with and learn from the Evangelical Christians on how to preach the gospel of Salvation by Faith. Currently, Catholic Church spends too much time on rituals during the Mass but not enough time on teaching the scriptures. That’s the main reason more and more Catholics lost their faith and didn’t go to church any more. Catholic Church should invite some Evangelical preachers to preach at the church and add an extra session on Bible Study after each Mass. Only when people study the Word of God deeply and thoroughly could they realize the benefit of the blessing of God and rekindle their faith in Christ.
2) Sharing the Gospel of Salvation with New Immigrants from non-Christian Countries
Most immigrants come from those war-torn and poverty-ridden countries because they have not received the salvation of Christ yet. If they don’t learn the Gospel of Salvation by Jesus Christ and still keep their old habits of killing each other or “killing disbelievers wherever you find them”, they will be the terminator of the Modern Civilization and drag France back into the Dark Age again.
Most Muslims are faithful people of God, but because their doctrines were written in the seventh century, they do contain some messages that won’t fit in the current world. Here are some verses in the Quran regarding how to deal with people of different faiths:
With these verses written in the Quran, any faithful Muslim could turn into a jihadist in a moment of changing heart. These verses are the main reasons behind the atrocities of ISIS during their reign in the part of Iraq and Syria. Those people who accuse the criticism of these brutal doctrines as "Islamophobia" either have never read the Quran and have no clue what is written in the Quran or just try to cover up these brutal doctrines in the Quran.
When Muslims are the minority of the country, they will be friend to non-Muslims to protect themselves. Once they become the majority, they will eliminate the disbelievers based on these verses in the Quran. That’s why most Islamic countries are 100% Muslims, for it is totally legal in Islam for Muslims to behead those disbelievers if they refuse to accept Islam. Taliban and ISIS are the two most recent examples of the horrible consequence when people were brainwashed by these Medieval doctrines.
Currently, Muslim population in France is around 10%, and it already caused many terrorist attacks. Once they reach 50% population, it will be the nightmare for French people. With the high fertility rate of Muslim families, the traditional France will be replaced by an Islamic France within fifty years, and all French people will be forced to convert to Islam. Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Religion will be abolished by the Muslim majority, and political correctness will be slashed by Muslims. Any media or journalist dare to criticize their belief will face the same fate of Charlie Hebdo. The religious war will be inevitable if French people don’t want to submit to Islam.
The only way to avoid such tragedy and stop the religious war for France is for French government to intervene now to stop the teaching of “killing disbelievers” doctrines inside the Islamic Mosques and replace it with the teaching of love and forgiveness by Jesus Christ in the New Testament. All students and new immigrants must learn the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the New Testament disregarding what their religious belief is. All public schools should make the New Testament the mandatory class for all students. It does not intent to force anyone to convert to Christianity, but just to replace the message of hatred and killing with the message of love and forgiveness.
In the last thousand years, due to the conflicts between Christians and Muslims, most Muslims did not have the chance to learn the teaching of Jesus on love and forgiveness even though they still accept Jesus as the “al-Masih” (Messiah) and “Kalimah min Allah” (“Word from God”). Now, it’s time for Christians to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and his teaching of love and forgiveness with Muslims without denouncing Islam. Once Muslims learn the teaching of Jesus on love and forgiveness, the Holy Spirit will guild them to the New Renaissance and Reformation of Islam for the New Era of Peace & Wisdom. That is the key to end religious conflicts and help France become a great nation again with the blessing of God.
